New Level of Spiritual Warfare Part 2

Part 2

New Level of Spiritual Warfare

Today I want to continue sharing some things the Lord has been showing me regarding spiritual warfare. Last week I related some thoughts about our need to be constantly tuned in to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because the level of evil unleashed on the earth has increased, our level of awareness, prayer and discernment must increase as well. The Lord said His people are not prepared for things that are coming soon. If we are not honing our swords and shields now, it will be too late when more serious troubles strike. We will fold under the weight of the attacks.

I want to reiterate that the call is not to walk in fear or dread. The call is not about blaming the devil for everything and blindly going on in our sin. Just the opposite is true. While we do not see a demon behind every bush, I guarantee you there are demons lurking behind some of your bushes and you will not understand the battle if you choose to ignore them.

If we don’t understand God’s grand scheme of all things spiritual, then we won’t understand our personal role at all.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NIV

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

Please understand this----if we ignore God’s promptings to turn from sin and receive healing,  we are in effect choosing to walk in agreement with the enemy because those things are in direct conflict with the Lord and His Word. As we walk in agreement with the enemy, those demons are drawn to us like little magnets and we are opening doors for them to harass and bring us down. They always target our weak spots and sin. It’s not “the devil made me do it”; it’s a partnership.

The power within us is Jesus Christ---the power to overcome is through Him! We must take responsibility for our lives, attitudes and behaviors, but if we turn a blind eye to the attacks, that is foolish. Utilizing the power of Jesus Christ working in and through us is the key to victory! Satan was defeated at the cross. His deception is the key to his successful attacks on believers.

We must pray for discernment every day.  The Holy Spirit reveals to us when danger is lurking. He warns us when the enemy is about to move in and go for the weak spots (sin, unhealed wounds).. The devil has no power over us, except what we give him---through our sin and unbelief. I always say that our true strength in spiritual warfare is a total comprehension of who we are in Christ, standing firm on His Word, through the work of His Spirit, living godly lives. Leaving no open doors for those attacks. That’s our life insurance.

Example: I’ve had times where someone says or does something that really pushes my buttons. I react without praying or thinking, but in total negativity, hurt, or anger.  Then---I almost hear an audible “Gotcha!”  Something in my spirit jolts me to the reality that I was hit in a place where I need healing, forgiveness or to repent of resentments, etc.  Whatever the case, when I deal with that issue and let the Lord heal it, the next time something similar hits me, I can be at peace---no reacting or even hurting. In fact, if I’m paying attention to the Spirit’s Voice, I won’t even be tempted to fall for it at all. This is walking in His peace. The other person is responsible for their own ‘’stuff”.  I’m only responsible for me.

The days we are living in are rapidly becoming more and more lawless and unpredictable. Without a strong faith and spirit that is attuned to His, we are on shaky ground. The Lord has warned that we are about to see frightening scenes, disasters unlike any before, and spiritual attacks will be relentless. Please do not ignore the warnings to get your spiritual life sharpened and ready.

“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). Most commentaries agree that from the Greek translation, this speaks of a coming “evil day” which refers to the intensifying of the spiritual war in which believers are living, when dangers will increase. Satanic opposition is stronger than before. This is what the Lord has shown me is “beginning now” and is a direct step to the second coming of Jesus. Only then will we see the final destruction of satan and his legions. We are instructed to be vigilant, standing firm, so that we are not caught off guard by his schemes.  This is on the job training for the final days of confrontation.

Unseen forces operate around us at all times. If we could see in the spirit and observe the spirit realm each day, we would live and think so differently. Our Father assigns angels to guard us and do battle over us. We are surrounded and never fighting the battle alone. (Psalm 91) . Believers generally do not even recognize the host of unseen celestial entities whose power vastly exceeds our own. With some exceptions, our enemies usually remain invisible to our human eyes, but are very real. These spiritual entities exist in several forms and are named by the apostle Paul as: “rulers, powers, world forces of darkness, spiritual forces of wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6). We probably cannot grasp fully the variety and numbers of those forces which oppose us. There are rankings and descriptions in the book of Revelation as well, which speaks of creatures which we will not understand until we are living in God’s heaven. (Rev 9; Rev 5).

Remember, If we don’t understand God’s grand scheme of all things spiritual, then we won’t understand our personal role at all. “Study to show yourself approved a workman unto God, that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” (2 Tim 2:15). By studying the Bible and researching scripture on spiritual warfare, the Lord will open your spiritual eyes to more fully understand the battle in which you live. It will also offer hope and encouragement for the journey, because “I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.” (Phil 4:13).

A New Level Of Warfare

I’m going to be posting a series on a new level of spiritual warfare that the Lord has been showing me. Please pray over this and I welcome any feedback.

I don’t know what day it was, but a few months ago the Lord revealed to me that a new level of evil had been unleashed on the earth. Sitting in a chair in my bedroom praying, I was sensing a spiritual darkness and heaviness that was stifling. I asked Him what it was and that was His answer.

In times past, the Lord has intercepted such outpourings from satan and shielded the world in different ways. In a certain sense, He continues His protections, however, He has now removed some of His covering and is allowing the evil to follow the beckoning of the world.

Non-believers are about to experience the consequences of spitting in God’s face, rejecting Him at every turn. They have longed for and even demanded a self-centered, unholy existence and thus will begin to reap what they have sown. This is not a happy scenario nor is it what we as believers want; but nevertheless, God’s judgments have begun. The people have been warned. They refuse to listen. Lawlessness and darkness increase by the day. They have ordered it and He is allowing it to be delivered.Matthew 24:12:"Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. We have definitely seen this scripture played out during the election and following. Cold, bitter hatred is flowing to a degree that can be frightening.

We also see more severe weather events, affecting thousands. Fires, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes abound. People are losing loved ones, homes, businesses, pets, and more. Do they call out to God, turning their lives to Him? Or do they curse Him and refuse to see His hand in all of it? This is a defining moment for many. We need to pray they will choose life, choose Him.

What does the increase in lawlessness mean for us, as His children? It is time to get serious. Like never before. We can no longer play games. We must be on our faces before God, in regular communion with Him, in repentence for our own ungodliness, and tuned to His directives. If evil is unleashed at a new level, our understanding of spiritual warfare is also being pushed to a new level. He has shown me that wimpy, anemic little prayers are not going to cut it. We must be empowered from on High, filled with the Holy Spirit, built up in our faith, and never, ever entertain doubt or unbelief. The enemy knows our level of faith and will manipulate us in our weakest places. He showed me that the forces of darkness are stronger than ever, and His people are weaker than ever. Most people pass through each day without a thought of the unseen forces at work around them.

Are you well grounded in your comprehension of who you are in Christ? Do you have an understanding of the power within you as Jesus lives in and through you? If not, you cannot waste a single day. You must get these truths deeply embedded into your thinking and belief system … now. If you need help, ask for it.

We must be walking in the Spirit throughout our days and nights. We must be in some mode of prayerfulness at all times. Constant communion with the Father keeps us on track.  We must ask the Lord to fill us with a fresh filling of His Holy Spirit, don our armors, cover our families and homes with the blood of Jesus, and be attuned to the leading and guidance of His Voice. He will give discernment, warnings, direction and leading down the right roads. The enemy’s whispers will be stronger than ever, and will be attempting to convince us it’s God’s voice instead of his. God’s sheep know His Voice. But deception abounds. If our guard is down, we can fall prey to that deception. Deception is what leads the world into the arms of the Antic hrist system.

Revelation 12:17 says “the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore.” Satan is angry with us, and he’s going to get even angrier. He knows his time is short. He operates primarily on deception. This why we have no choice except to be soaking up the Word of God and standing on Truth. We cannot be led astray by our emotions, false prophecies, false teachings, or false signs and wonders. These are happening now, even in prominent churches, and will increase. This is a precursor to the devastating deception to come.

Be alert. Be vigilant. Be aware. Every second. One night last week I had been praying before I went to sleep and also listening to a teaching on faith. I fell asleep with a strong sense of peace and faith and trust in my Father. At 3:30 a.m. I awoke to a loud crash, startling me to sit up in bed with my heart pounding. A large framed picture I had on the wall across from my bed had fallen, knocked two pottery vases onto the floor and made quite a mess. That picture had been there in that spot for ten years. The nail was still intact in the wall.  I felt a dark spirit in the room. I began to pray. Interestingly, the picture was of a large, warrior angel. I felt it was some sort of message. As I prayed, I realized that even though I knew this was a spiritual attack, I felt no fear, no anxiety. I had perfect peace. Praise God!

It wasn’t just that the picture fell. You might say it was just a fluke. I know when demon spirits are coming at me. I never have to wonder. Other times I’ve had things fall or go bump in the night mysteriously and I know it’s nothing. I pray for that discernment every day and God gives it. And believe me, I’ve had much more serious attacks. This was just one example.

I don’t want to belabor this point today. I just feel the Lord urging me to impress upon you to be aware that things are different at this point than they’ve ever been. The lawlessness will increase. The darkness will grow. We are approaching the days described which must come to pass before Jesus’ return.

The flip side---the good side--is that He is going to empower us like never before as well! We are going to see miracles. We are going to do miracles in His name! We are His chosen ones and He has good plans. We need to encourage one another continually to stand strong through the battles because the victories are about to be phenomenal!

We cannot take part in the glories if we crumble in the attacks, or if we fall into deception along the way. Please heed the warnings and keep your swords sharpened and your armor oiled.

Peace On a One Way Street

What is stabbing your heart today? What’s behind the deep, throbbing pain keeping you awake at night? You are busy all day long, but there’s always that moment where you stop and almost double over as that one things eats away at your soul. It seems God is silent when you call out to Him. It appears that no one can help. It’s such a difficult and hopeless situation. And you wonder if anyone really cares. You ask God and yourself what reason you shoud have to dare to hope. Nothing has come along yet to resolve the situation.

Many of us have walked this journey of despair and fear and hopelessness. I can remember times throughout my life when all these questions were wearing away my faith and trust in God, and in people.  Believe it or not, you are not alone. More people than you can ever imagine are dealing with unseen pain. If you’re looking at social media, you would decide that everyone else is partying, happy, and living the good life. Everyone but you. What a magnificent deception!

We are actually quite adept at covering up our fears, worries and depression. We put on a strong persona and march on. And secretly, we wish that someone would come along and reach out in love and take the pain away. Occasionally that happens. Usually it doesn’t.

There is only One Who can truly touch our soul, and heal the pain. Why doesn’t He act faster? Why doesn’t He fix the problem NOW so that I can move on? Does He really care? Your Abba Father is your Daddy, your Papa, the One Who loves you beyond what any human person can offer. Keep believing that. Keep trusting that Truth. Know that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. (Romans 8:28)

My dear friends, our world is in a big mess. You already know that. Lawlessness is spinning around us. Not only do we face personal issues, but we face chaos on a worldwide scale. NOW IS THE TIME to draw near to God. NOW IS THE TIME to get your heart right. NOW IS THE TIME to press in, trust in Him and realize that it’s the only answer to having peace in the midst of the storm.

Deception is rampant. Get up each morning and praise your Father and ask Him for discernment for the day. Learn how to hear the still, small Voice that warns you when you’re in danger. That Voice guides your decisions. That Voice pours out peace on your soul when troubles abound. It’s the only answer. He is the only way to peace. He hears your every cry. His timing may not seem right to you, but it’s perfect. Trust that. If you’re His and walking with Him, He is orchestrating every detail of your situation and you can be assured that you are in good hands.

If you need prayer, please let me know. I will lift you up to the Father and encourage you in any way I can. Be ready to lay down all your own epectations and desires, to be submitted to His plan. The benefits are limitless! He has the answer to your question; He has healing for your pain. He loves you deeply. Don’t doubt! Declare your faith boldly and see what happens. Doubt and unbelief are planted and nurtured by the enemy of your soul. Don’t stand in agreement with that. It will bring you down and keep you in turmoil.  Look up, keeping your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Your redemption draws nigh.  Shalom.

Peace in Chaos

What an eventful week! Undoubtedly a week of thought provoking days and nights with people on all political spectrums re-evaluating what matters most. One thing we can all agree on is that life is a roller coaster ride. The highs and lows seem out of control at times, but those of us who are grounded in God know where to go to stop the insanity that whirls around us.

My purpose in writing today is to offer hope. That is not always easy when some are in despair. Two years ago the Lord impressed on my heart the need to write my book, “Living in God’s Rest...At Peace in a Chaotic World.”We thought things were chaotic then, but look at us now! God knew the direction we were and are headed.

Don’t hide your head in the sand my friends. The world is in chaos and this chaos will not end because your candidate won. It won’t end if your candidate lost and has plans to arise from the ashes either. God is in control and He is the only one Who can end chaos. His Word stands and He offers us peace in the midst of all storms.  If you choose to reject that peace, you have that option. You can run from Him, spit in His face, curse Him, whatever, but He still pours out love toward your heart and waits patiently for you to come to His lap of mercy and grace.

As troubles swirl around us, pain and suffering will hit many of our own families and homes. NOW IS THE TIME to come to the throne of mercy and get our hearts right with the Father. He protects His children. He instructs in the dark hours. He heals, delivers and provides. Only His sheep hear His voice. If you are backslidden, enjoying a sinful life, ignoring His promptings, you are in danger. If you’ve never come to Christ, you are in danger. When these serious disasters hit, where will you turn? Who will lead you to safety? How will you know what to do next? You will not hear the still small voice of the Lord. It could mean life or death to you.

It is possible to be at peace, when all around us in in chaos. God put on my heart many lessons in learning to walk in peace. He is our Peace. He instills peace within us. When disaster falls, how can we be light and offer hope to hurting people, if we are panicked and full of fear? We must learn how to trust God and rest in His arms. It is possible!!

If you have not read my book, I encourage you to get it now. This is not about selling books. If you want it and can’t afford to buy it, send me a message and I’ll be happy to send you a free copy. I want you to sleep in peace each night, assured that your Father is watching over you and your family. I want you to get your life in tune with His will so that He can not only protect and provide for you, but so that He can use you to be a light to others in these troubled times.

If you don’t know Jesus or don’t even understand why you should consider knowing Him, please contact me with your questions and concerns. I’d love to visit with you. I’ll pray with you. I’ll do my best to show you the difference in living life in peace and trust, and living fearfully in a panicked and broken world. If God is prompting your spirit, don’t ignore it. At least see what He’s all about and then make your decision.

I love you all and appreciate your messages and support. Keep your eyes on  Yeshua Jesus. He is our only real Hope. Shalom.

Counting the Cost

Are You Worth Your Salt?

In Luke 14:25-34, Jesus speaks about the cost of being His. The cost is great. Did you stop and consider the actual cost before you surrendered your life to Him? Or did you just quickly repeat a little sinner’s prayer after someone led it, and hurry on to the buffet line with all the other church goers?

This society is notorious for looking for the easy way out. We spend time, money and energy on all things quick and easy.  And painless. Most people avoid anything that appears to be a challenge, a little hard work, or could cause others to criticize them.

Jesus Himself said that you cannot be called “His” if you do not put Him above everything and everyone else. He means what He says. His will and His design for your life must supersede your parents, siblings, boss, spouse, friends, and whatever opinions or plans they have for you.

The cost is great to be His. When you submit your life, receiving the Holy Spirit of God into your being, you have made a contract that is eternal. It’s not just a free pass to heaven. There are directions spelled out in that contract. It means you commit to living your life the way that He instructs. There are innumerable blessings, but today we’re talking about the costs. Jesus compared it to a person beginning construction of a building. The person calculates the costs involved in seeing it through to completion before he ever begins. Or a king preparing to go to war, who calculates what is needed to defeat a bigger army than his own. Thought before action.

What are some of the costs? Jesus said you cannot become His disciple without giving up everything. If we truly have given up everything to follow Him, how can we nonchalantly join into the world’s way of thinking and doing things? That knocks us off the track. That makes us just one of the world’s crowd, blending in and not making any difference in the world.

In that same passage, He said if you’ve lost your salt, you’re only good for the manure pile. Stinks, huh? That makes it pretty clear! For us to be the salt, as He told us to be, we must act as salt---a preservative of good, and add a special flavor to life on this earth. To do those things, we cannot live and behave as the unbelievers do. We must stand strong, set apart, and called to something bigger. This is one cost of being His. There are many.

If you did not count the cost before signing on, you will find this contract very difficult to fulfill. It is a challenging road, even for those who did count the cost. Never take it lightly. It is serious business to our Lord. He expects obedience and commitment; nothing less. If we’re serious about our commitment, He helps us all the way. If we are apathetic and worldly, not seeing the bigger picture, we will pay a price.

I challenge you today to examine your heart and your actions. It is time to be absolutely sure whose side you are on. Where is your loyalty? If you have sat idly on the fence, focusing on political correctness, not offending anyone, and lost your salt, you are in danger! You might be on the manure pile. Read your Bible. It’s spelled out clearly there. It says He will spit you out of His mouth. (Rev 3:16)  I am taking the challenge seriously. I only confront you with the same questions I present to myself. Spend time with Him today and ask Him to show you how you’re doing in the salt department. Consider the cost of being His. He paid a tremendous price for you; the cost you pay is nothing in comparison.

New Book Release and Interview with Author Nancy LaPointe:

Faith's Illusions

“It is not every day you come across a person that is bursting with joy, faith, and kindness. This is what you will find within my new friend and author, Nancy LaPointe. You will also read this throughout all of her wonderful books including her new release, “Faith’s Illusions.”  .   .  .

Catherine Townsend-Lyon, Author & Columnist

My Interview With Nancy .  .  .  .

1.) How did come to writing and publishing books?

I have always enjoyed writing, as far back as grade school. A few years ago I decided it was time to write more seriously. I had published magazine articles and newsletters with my different places of employment, including regular newspaper articles, but I wanted to write a book. I believe God was in it as He was continually putting ideas in my heart. Then I knew it was time to take the plunge and just go for it!

2.) Are there authors or books that have influenced you and your writing?

I have been strongly influenced in my writing life by Julia Cameron, whose books on creativity stir up the passion in me. Her book, “The Artist’s Way,” to me is a book all writers should experience. I’ve worked through the workbook portion several times. My spiritual life and writing are definitely influenced by Francis Frangipane and also Ann Voskamp’s “One Thousand Gifts.” There are more, but these are probably the top contenders.

3.)  What is your “Motto about Life”?

“Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. ”

4.) How many books you have written?

I have written three books. The first, “Living in God’s Rest…At Peace in a Chaotic World,” shares some valuable life lessons about slowing down and resting in God, which brings peace to all areas of life. My other two books are Christian novels which carry underlying themes regarding living the Christian life in a sometimes confusing world.

5.)  What are your Favorites:

Favorite Books: Bible , The Artist’s Way

Movie: Steel Magnolias

Foods: Green chile, pecans, coconut and of course, chocolate

Color:  Purple

Animal: Dogs

6.)  We know a little about you from your Amazon Author Page, but what are some hobbies and interests?

I enjoy oil painting, reading, playing with my puppy and spending time with friends and family. I’m a flea market junkie, and DIYer so enjoy refurbishing old furniture. HGTV is my inspiration.

7.) Lastly, how about family life? Do you have grown children? A grandma?

I have one daughter, a talented writer and website developer, who is building a tiny house right now. She has one daughter, my only grandchild, who of course, is gorgeous, brilliant and a gymnastics star. We lost my husband to cancer in April so our little family has had much to deal with, but we are blessed with a huge extended family who brings lots of joy and support to our lives.

There is a Whisper in the Wind

August 13, 2016

As I sat at the feet of Jesus, seeking His face and heart for what He wanted to teach and share with me for the day....a sudden wind came up.  Out of nowhere. I heard the Lord speak this...."There is a whisper in the wind. Can you hear it? It is a sound like that never heard before. It will be missed by many, but heard clearly by few. It is the sound of Gods army rising up to do battle against the enemy. A triumphant sound amongst Gods chosen, but the sound of agony for those who do not know Him. The whisper is coming and coming soon....prepare!

I prayed and asked Him how we should prepare???  I felt in my spirit He explained it was spiritually.  Know Gods heart; know Gods ways; read Gods word and allow Him to create in you the heart He has always had for you. A heart of truth; a heart of love; a heart of knowledge for those things He wants you to know. Blessed is the one who seeks the face of Yeshua....the Word of God. The truth spoken throughout the generations getting louder and louder and closer and closer.

"Can you hear the whisper in the wind?"  He will not shout. If He chooses to shout it will come in the forms of natural disasters, plagues and terrorism. Many will be stunned and shocked, but not enough to heed His warnings. They continue in their sin, thinking they are untouchable. They will continue to love the things of this world, but the world will end and so will they.  For many now there is no guarantee of tomorrow, TODAY is the day to stop and listen to the whispers of Christ.

What Legacy are You Building?

by Nancy LaPointe

Some friends and I went to dinner last Saturday evening at a nice restaurant. Seated at the next table were two young families with small children. One of the children, probably about a year and a half old or so, was crying. He looked very tired, rubbing his eyes often. The parents, specifically the dad, spoke to him very harshly several times. In front of three other children and the other parents, he used vile language and even directed his vulgar words to the baby who was crying. At our table, we all felt so sad for the child, and for the other children present who looked on fearfully.

Last week I was shopping in a store where I observed very much the same scenario. A young mother was scolding her child with obscenities and a harshness that was disheartening. Now, I am all for disciplining children and truth be told, we don’t see too much positive discipline going on these days, but what breaks my heart is that these parents who spout continual filthy language have no concept of the effects on those kids….or don’t care. I don’t know which it is.

I suppose this is thought to be the acceptable mode of operation these days. I’m just out of touch. My friend shared that her daughter and fiance who are raising a three year old together often have the little one sitting in front of the TV watching pornography. They don’t see that anything is going on with the child. They think he’s too small to be affected.

Why then, do these parents get so upset and distraught when their adolescents and teens get in trouble with sex, with drugs, with other serious issues? Do they not ever consider the source? Today’s toddlers are tomorrow’s parents. Besides the fact that little ones need loving nurturing, security through positive discipline, and protection, they learn by observing.

I can only assume, which might be wrong, (don’t blast me for judging---some things are naturally judged!) that these parents are so wrapped up in themselves that they can’t be bothered by thoughts of their children’s development. I totally get that the parents are wounded souls who have learned to focus on “me” and “what I need” because that’s our culture today. But what a heartbreaking legacy to see families following generational dysfunction because a parent couldn’t take the time or effort for love or positive disciplinary methods.

We have infinite resources at our fingertips for parenting, for inner healing, for child development, for marriage and family issues. No one has to be in the dark or say they can’t afford help. There’s free help everywhere if you want it. No, I am not just sitting here in judgment of these families. I am heartbroken because I’ve been a counselor a long time and I know the far reaching effects of these types of scenarios. I want parents to stop and think about what they are producing. If you need prayer or counseling or help, I am always available. In the meantime, I pray often for the children.

Warnings Abound

 By Nancy LaPointe

Today I sense a burden to share some things. I hope you will ask the Lord to speak to you through this blog. He has been showing me many things. One is that it doesn’t matter who is elected. The condition of our country is a reflection of the condition of our hearts. We as a people, as a nation, want it all. We want prosperity, happiness, success and peace. We want what we want. The problem is that we don’t really know the path to getting those things. We think we do. We think it’s either the Democrat way or the Republican way. Neither of those roads is leading to victory. Sadly, we get entrenched in our own belief system and refuse to consider anything else. But this word today is not about elections or politicians.

What do you have in place to protect and care for your family should you be involved in one of these traumatic events happening all around our country? Are you just turning your head and choosing denial---that it could never happen where you live? My friend’s niece was visiting in France, out shopping one beautiful day and found herself barely escaping the shootings there. All over America violence is erupting. People are angry and rebellious, and regardless of where you stand politically, you or your loved ones could be victims. Am I trying to stir up fear? No!! I’m sensing that the Lord is trying to warn His people to be vigilant, to be alert, and to prepare for unexpected situations.

If the Holy Spirit is your Counselor, as the scripture says, take heed to His promptings. If you’re out and suddenly feel a tug to go home, or to leave where you are, don’t dally. Don’t ignore it. Move. Be immediately obedient. Talk to your children about this as well. We must pray over our families each day, and then trust that our Father loves and cares about His children. Don’t be foolish. It is time to get serious about having the closest relationship you can find with the Lord. He is positioning His people to be where there is safety and/or where He can use us in these difficult situations.

If you choose to hide your head in the sand and believe nothing will ever happen to you, just remember that warnings abound. Read your Bible. Pray. We are living in treacherous times which will be getting worse. Our only hope is in Jesus. Our only real protection and provision is through following the leading of the Holy Spirit and staying alert to His promptings. Please don’t ignore this. The Lord has impressed this on me over and over again lately. I share it out of love and concern. Ask Him today to reveal His truth to you so that you can do what He asks you to do.Trusting in a candidate or anyone other than the Lord will be a tragic mistake. Again I just ask you to go to Him for yourself and see what He will show you. Shalom.

Tell Your Heart to Beat Again

Greetings!

I want to take a moment to thank you all for your loving support and prayers over these past difficult weeks. You have encouraged me and reminded me how important it is to be loved in the midst of pain. I have allowed myself space to grieve and realized the amount of energy that it takes. It knocks me down at the most unexpected times. But in the grand scheme of things, I feel the Presence of the Spirit within and around me, holding me up and infusing me with strength and peace. I know it will take time to get on top of it, but of course, the loss will always be felt. Losing your life partner, your closest friend and confidante, prayer partner, and so much more, cannot be overcome overnight. I just thank God every day for His beautiful ways of sustaining me and turning my face to the future with hope and faith.

Every day on the radio I hear the Danny Gokey song, "Tell Your Heart to Beat Again" and it has become the Lord's hug to me.

I focus on the lyrics and feel His peace.

You're shattered
Like you've never been before
The life you knew
In a thousand pieces on the floor
And words fall short in times like these
When this world drives you to your knees
You think you're never gonna get back
To the you that used to be

Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday's a closing door
You don't live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you've been
And tell your heart to beat again

Beginning
Just let that word wash over you
It's alright now
Love's healing hands have pulled you through
So get back up, take step one
Leave the darkness, feel the sun
Cause your story's far from over
And your journey's just begun

Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday's a closing door
You don't live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you've been
And tell your heart to beat again

Let every heartbreak
And every scar
Be a picture that reminds you
Who has carried you this far
'Cause love sees farther than you ever could
In this moment heaven's working
Everything for your good

Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday's a closing door
You don't live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you've been
And tell your heart to beat again
Your heart to beat again
Beat again
Oh, so tell your heart to beat again
